Chilli Pepper ‘Habanero Fire’ Seeds
Habanero Fire is a classic red-fruited variety from the renowned Habanero series (Capsicum chinense), prized for its intense heat, bold citrus-like flavour, and excellent productivity. Producing vibrant red chillies packed with serious fire, this variety is widely used in Mexican cuisine and hot sauce making.
Plants are vigorous and productive, typically yielding around 40 fruits per plant. The smooth, lantern-shaped fruits measure approximately 4 × 3 cm and deliver a powerful heat level ranging between 200,000–300,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Despite their heat, Habanero Fire chillies retain a distinctive fruity aroma that adds depth and character to spicy dishes.
Best grown in greenhouses or in pots outdoors in warm, sheltered conditions, this indeterminate variety continues to flower and fruit throughout the season when properly supported.

How to Grow Chilli Pepper ‘Habanero Fire’
Sow seeds indoors January to March using a heated propagator or warm greenhouse, maintaining temperatures of 25–28°C for reliable germination. Sow seeds thinly and cover lightly with fine compost or vermiculite.
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots. As plants grow, pot on into their final containers and provide staking or support, as indeterminate plants will continue to grow and produce fruit throughout the season.
Grow under cover for best results, or place outdoors in a warm, sheltered spot once all risk of frost has passed. Water regularly and feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser once flowering begins.
Harvest fruits when fully red for maximum heat and flavour.
⚠️ Safety note: These chillies are extremely hot. Wear gloves when handling fruits and avoid touching eyes or skin. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
