Chilli Pepper ‘Hot Lolly’ Seeds
Hot Lolly is a compact, early-maturing Capsicum annuum chilli pepper that delivers eye-catching colour and dependable heat in a manageable plant size. Growing to around 40 cm tall, plants produce an attractive crop of 7–10 cm long fruits that ripen from creamy green to orange and finally bright red, creating a striking multicoloured display.
The chillies can be harvested and eaten at any colour stage, with heat intensifying as they mature. At full ripeness, fruits reach around 50,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), offering a strong, lively heat that works perfectly in everyday cooking. Hot Lolly is ideal for growers looking for a productive, container-friendly chilli with visual appeal and versatility in the kitchen.
Well suited to greenhouse growing or outdoor pots, this variety performs reliably in warm, sheltered conditions and is easy to manage thanks to its compact habit.

Grow in a greenhouse or place outdoors in a warm, sheltered spot once all risk of frost has passed. Water regularly and feed weekly with a balanced or high-potash fertiliser once flowering begins.
Harvest fruits at any stage of ripeness depending on flavour and heat preference, with fully red fruits delivering the hottest heat.
⚠️ Handling advice: Chillies are hot. Wash hands thoroughly after handling fruits and avoid touching eyes or skin.
