When March to May.
Where In a prepared seed bed.
How Sow thinly in rows 25cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care When 7.5-10cm tall transplant to final position with 60cm between plants and rows. Firm plants in well. Keep moist and weed free.
Harvest February to May. Cut shoots when 10-15cm long.
For indoor sowing
When March to May.
Where In trays of moist compost.
How Sow thinly. Cover with a fine layer of compost and firm gently. Keep at 10-15°C. and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-21 days.
Care When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays of compost. Stand outside for a few days in July or August. Then transplant to final position with 60cm between plants and rows. Keep moist and weed free.
Harvest February to May. Pick young shoots regularly to encourage further cropping.
