Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-21 days.
Care Grow on at approx. 13-15°C. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 20cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers June to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering.
For outdoor sowing
When April to May.
Where In a prepared seed bed in flowering position.
How Sow thinly in rows 25cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care When large enough thin to 20cm apart. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers June to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering. Will help attract bees and beneficial insects to the garden.
