Where In trays of moist compost.
How Sow thinly, cover lightly with compost and firm gently. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days. Keep moist and weed free.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays of compost. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 25cm apart in flowering position.
Flowers June to September, the same year.

Where In a prepared seed bed in flowering position.
How Sow thinly in rows 25cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently, keep moist and weed free.
Care When large enough thin to 25cm apart.
Flowers June to September, the following year. Remove dead flower heads to prolong flowering.
