When January to April.
Where In trays or individual pots of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, do not cover seed with compost. Firm gently into the compost surface and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at 20-25°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. Grow on at approx. 15-18°C. When large enough transplant singly into 7.5cm pots. Grow on until ready for potting on finally into 15cm pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Keep compost moist but do not saturate. Over-winter at no less than 5°C.
Flowers June to September. Divide and repot in spring. Over-winter at no less than 5°C.
