Johnsons - Grass Melinis Silver Queen - 25 Seeds

A long lived, atractive grass, forming swathes of narrow leaves and silky, seed heads providing lasting interest. Great for large planters or contained in borders. For indoor sowing
When January to March.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 40cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers July to October, the same year. Do not allow to dry out and provide protection from excessive cold and winter wet.
