Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or a propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-21°C. Seedlings appear 21-35 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Grow on at approx. 10-15°C. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 25cm apart in flowering position and keep moist.
Flowers July to October, the same year. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering. Grow close to the house to enjoy the sweet scent.
