Where In a prepared seed bed.
How Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-21 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.
Care When large enough thin to 15cm apart. Keep moist and weed free
Harvest June to October.
For indoor sowing
When February to April.
Where In trays of moist compost.
How Sow thinly. Cover with a fine layer of compost and firm gently. Keep at approx. 13°C and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-21 days.
Care If necessary transplant to further trays of compost. Gradually acclimatise to outside conditions. Then transplant 15cm apart to final position.
Harvest June to October. Harvest when the swollen stems are approx. the size of tennis balls.
