Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, do not cover seed with compost. Firm gently into the surface and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers June to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering. Mix tiny seeds with a little dry sand to aid sowing.
