When January to March and March to June in a shaded cold frame or cool greenhouse.
Where In trays of moist seed compost.
How Sow thinly. Do not cover the seed with compost. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 10-15°C. Keep out of direct sunlight. Keep moist, do not allow compost to dry out. Seedlings appear 21-49 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough, transplant singly to small pots. Transplant 25cm apart to final position in autumn.
Flowers April to June, the following year. Plant up a spring tub, then move plants to garden after flowering.
