Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover lightly with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 40cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers July to October, the following year.

When May to June.
Where In a prepared seed bed in flowering position.
How Sow thinly in rows 40cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil.
Care Firm gently and keep moist. When large enough thin to 40cm apart.
Flowers August to October, the following year. Once established divide plants in autumn or spring.
