When February to April, make an early and late sowing for a longer season.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-21 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. . Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 15cm apart in flowering position.

For outdoor sowing
When April to May.

How Sow thinly in rows 20cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Make 2 or 3 sowings for a longer flowering season.
Care When large enough to handle, thin to 15cm apart.
Flowers June to September. Grow some in pots near the house or patio to appreciate their fragrance.
