When January to April.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 20-25°C. Seedlings appear 14-35 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Grow on at approx. 15°C. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 35cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free. Will benefit from a protective winter mulch in colder regions.
Flowers July to October, the same year. Cut back after flowering to help plants clump up.
