Aster Ostrich Plume
Ostrich Plume Aster produces stunning and very large, double blooms with feathered re-curved petals. It has a branching habit that makes it prolific and makes a gorgeous cut flower for your home. The plant will grow to a height of approximately 45cm.
Sow from March to April in trays of moist seed compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a warm place and keep at a temperature of between 20-25°C. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 23-30cm apart in well-drained soil in full sun. Flowers from July to October.
