Beet Leaf Perpetual Spinach
This is not a true Spinach but is used in exactly the same way! This winter hardy variety produces a mass of mid-green leaves with thin stems and is also known as Spinach Beet.
Sow from March to August thinly in shallow drills, 2cm deep with 35-45cm between rows. Do not transplant seedlings. As they appear gradually thin until plants are spaced 20cm apart. Pull rather than cut leaves as required leaving plants to continue to develop.
