Marigold Spanish Brocade
Spanish Brocade is early and very floriferous, producing large, golden and red bi-colour flowers, which can vary on each plant.
Sow from February to April on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or in a warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 21-25°C. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm apart in well-drained soil in full sun. Flowers from June onwards.
