Statics is also known as Sea Lavender. It is probably the most popular types of all the everlasting flowers. It has strong stems and bright flower heads.

Sow from February to April. Sow seeds on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp seed compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm apart. Flowers from July onwards.
