Batter an F1 Hybrid is a high quality main crop variety. It is strong growing with a long white shank. It has some resistance to Thrip damage and tolerance to rust. Keeps well on the vegetable plot so can be harvested over a long period of time.

Sow in modules from mid March to May ready to plant out from June onwards. Sow only one or two seeds per module. Leek seedlings take from 10 to 14 days to germinate. Plant out when about 20cm high. Dib a hole, drop a leek roots first into the hole. Fill the hole with water to settle in. Water in dry periods.
