Product Description
Carrot - Autumn King 2
This is a very popular main crop carrot producing long tapering roots with good flavour. It stands and keeps well, extending the season.
Sow outdoors thinly, from March to July, where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Allow 30cm between rows. Early sowings may benefit cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly from the row, allowing remainder to grow on. Water well until plants are established. Harvest from June to November. Roots can be lifted in autumn. Remove soil and store in dry sand.
