Petunia - Frost Mixed F1
This grandiflora variety features frosted blooms with white edging, many giving a full cool picotee effect. It is eye catching in containers and bedding schemes. This half-hardy annual reaches the height of 30cm.
Sow indoors from January to April. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow thinly on the surface of a small tray of pre-watered compost. Place in a warm, light position. A temperature of 20-25°C is ideal. Keep the compost moist. The tray can be covered with cling film to preserve humidity, but remove when seedlings appear, usually in 14-21 days. Transplant individually to 7.5cm pots when large enough to handle. Always hold by a leaf, never by the stem. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out, May-June, 30cm apart, into well-drained soil, when frosts are over. Flowers from June to October.
