Carrot - Amsterdam 3 Sprint

Fast to mature, this is a top class variety for uniform, cylindrical baby carrots with sweet flavour, good colour and texture over a long season. Perfect for growing in containers or small gardens.

Sow outdoors thinly, from January to July, where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Allow 30cm between rows. Alternatively, sow thinly, directly into fertile compost in 25cm pots with drainage holes. Early sowings may benefit cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly, allowing remainder to grow on. In pots, harvest when roots are approx. 10cm long. Water well until plants are established. Harvest from April to October.
