This wonderful semi-evergreen grass produces year-round interest, with wispy, pale yellow-green leaves topped with fluffy plumes of silver-green flowers, maturing to blonde buff. It is very elegant, moving in the slightest breeze. Ideal for dot planting or as feature plants in a mixed border.

Sow indoors: January to March, in trays of seed compost. Sow thinly, cover lightly with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep approx. 20oC. Germination may be slow and erratic. Seedling appear 14-42 days. Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant small clumps to individual 7.5cm pots. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in growing position. Keep moist and weed free.
