Onion - North Holland Blood Red

This type produces rich crimson outer skins and round generous bulbs. They can be pulled as spring salads or grown on as bulblets to eat raw or roasted.

Sow in modules under cover during February to April for successional crops. Seedlings should be pricked off into boxes when about 2cm tall 5cm apart. Harden off and plant outside 15cm apart. April sowings can be made outside 1cm deep in rows 30cm apart. Outdoor sowings should thinned out as they grow until 15cm apart.
