Product Description
Organic Greek Basil Seeds
Organic Greek Basil Seeds produce compact, bushy plants covered with masses of tiny aromatic leaves packed with a strong, distinctive basil flavour. This organic basil variety is particularly well suited to containers and windowsill growing thanks to its naturally compact habit.
The small, flavourful leaves are excellent for salads and cooking and are particularly useful for flavouring vinegars and oils. Plants can be grown indoors on a sunny windowsill, outdoors during summer, or alongside tomatoes in the greenhouse as a companion plant.
Easy to grow and highly productive, Organic Greek Basil is an excellent choice for kitchen gardens, greenhouses, patio containers, and anyone wanting fresh homegrown basil close to the kitchen.

How to Grow Organic Greek Basil Seeds
Sow Organic Greek Basil Seeds indoors from March, approximately 0.5cm deep in good-quality seed compost.
Several seeds can be sown together in each pot to create attractive, compact plants.
As the plants develop, pot them on as required. They can be kept on a sunny kitchen windowsill or transferred into 1–2 litre pots and grown alongside tomatoes in the greenhouse.
Plants can be moved outdoors from late May, once all risk of frost has passed. Plant approximately 30cm apart in well-drained soil in a warm, sheltered position.
Alternatively, sow directly outdoors in drills during May once the soil has warmed, thinning seedlings to approximately 30cm apart.
For a continuous supply of fresh basil, plants can also be grown all year round on a bright windowsill.
