Sorrel Large French is a cultivar with large leaves of sharp lemony flavour. Its tender young leaves can be used in lamb and beef stews, in salads and to make soup.
Sow outdoors, in drills, in May, with thin to 30 cm spacing. It is easy to grow, as it likes partial shade and any soil. Cut off flowers to maintain leaf production.
