This variety produces red-tinged leaves as the plant matures, and it has good disease resistance. Break off the leaves to enable the plant to continue to grow.

Sow from late spring to late summer. Early sowings should be made under cover. Later sowings can be made thinly direct in growing site, in rows 15cm apart. As soon as seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 30cm apart.
