Title

Sunflower ‘Monet’s Palette’ Seeds

Sunflower Monet’s Palette is a stunning pollen-free hybrid sunflower mix producing soft, artistic shades of yellow, red, rose, and cream. The blended pastel tones create bouquets that truly resemble a watercolour painting, making this variety a standout choice for cutting gardens and floral arrangements.

Plants grow vigorously to around 180 cm (6 ft) tall and produce an abundance of blooms over a flowering period of nearly a month. The long, well-branched stems are ideal for cutting, providing multiple flowers per plant and excellent vase performance.

Although the flowers are pollen-free — making them safe for indoor use and suitable for those with allergies — they still produce nectar, helping to support bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Monet’s Palette offers the best of both worlds: clean, pollenless flowers for arrangements and valuable nectar for the garden ecosystem. Sunflower seeds produced are edible

How to Grow Sunflower ‘Monet’s Palette’

Sow seeds April to May directly outdoors once the soil has warmed, or start under cover for earlier flowering. Sow seeds 2–3 cm deep in well-prepared soil.

Choose a sunny position with shelter from strong winds. Space plants 30–45 cm apart to allow for branching. Water regularly during dry periods and provide support if grown in exposed areas.

Flowers typically appear from mid to late summer. For the best cut flowers, harvest stems just as blooms begin to open. Regular cutting encourages continued flowering.
