How to Grow Sunflower ‘Superted’ F1

Sow seeds April to June directly outdoors once the soil has warmed, or start under cover for earlier blooms. Sow seeds 2–3 cm deep into well-prepared soil.

Choose a sunny position, sheltered from strong winds. Space plants 30–45 cm apart to allow for strong growth and full flower development. Water regularly, especially during dry spells.

Flowers appear through summer. For continuous colour, make successional sowings every two weeks. Cut flowers just as blooms are fully open for the best vase life, or leave some blooms to mature for birds later in the season.
