How to Grow Sweetcorn Moonshine F1 Seeds

Sow Sweetcorn Moonshine F1 Seeds indoors from April to May or directly outdoors from May to June once the soil has warmed and all risk of frost has passed.

Sow seeds approximately 2.5cm deep in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Germination usually takes 7–14 days in warm conditions.

Transplant or thin plants to around 45cm apart and grow them in blocks rather than single rows to ensure good wind pollination.

Choose a sunny, sheltered position and water regularly throughout the growing season, especially while cobs are developing.

Harvest when the tassels at the end of each cob turn brown and the kernels release a milky liquid when gently pierced.
