Tomato Estamino Rootstock – Pelleted Seeds
Tomato Estamino is a high-performance pelleted rootstock variety, selected to deliver optimal growth and balance for grafted tomato cultivars. The pelleted seed coating makes sowing easier and more precise, improving handling and germination accuracy — a standard choice for professional growers and an excellent option for skilled home gardeners.
Estamino promotes strong root development and consistent plant vigour while preventing excessive vegetative growth, helping grafted plants focus energy on flowering and fruit production. This rootstock is widely valued for its exceptional disease resistance package, improving plant health, yield reliability, and crop longevity.

How to Graft Tomatoes Using Estamino Rootstock (Cleft Grafting Method)
Sowing:
Sow Estamino rootstock seeds 5–7 days earlier than the scion (fruiting variety) to ensure matched stem thickness at grafting time.
Preparation:
When the rootstock reaches the 4–5 leaf stage, prepare a clean razor blade (tape one side for safety).
Cutting:
Cut both the rootstock and scion stems cleanly at right angles, leaving two leaves on each stem.
Cleft Cut:
Make a vertical cleft cut into the top of the rootstock stem.
Scion Preparation:
Cut the scion stem into a tapered wedge.
Joining:
Insert the scion wedge into the cleft of the rootstock and secure using a grafting clip or cellotape.
Healing:
Carry out grafting in a shaded area of the greenhouse. Maintain high humidity and stable temperatures to encourage rapid healing.
Once healed, gradually acclimatise plants to normal growing conditions.
