How to Grow Tomato Steak Sandwich Seeds

Sow Tomato Steak Sandwich Seeds indoors from February to April in moist seed compost.

Cover lightly with compost and maintain a temperature of 18–24°C. Germination usually takes 7–14 days.

Pot on seedlings as they develop and harden off before planting outdoors after the risk of frost has passed. Alternatively, grow under glass for earlier and more reliable crops.

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil or large containers in a sunny position. Support plants with canes or string as they grow.

Water regularly and feed weekly with a high-potash tomato fertiliser once the first flower trusses appear.

Tomato Growing Tips

Grow in full sun for the best flavour and fruit size.

Remove side shoots regularly, as this is an indeterminate tomato.

Tie stems securely to supports as plants grow.

Maintain even watering to help prevent fruit splitting.

Harvest fruits when fully coloured and slightly soft to the touch.
