How to Grow Tomato Tumbling Tom Red Seeds

Sow Tomato Tumbling Tom Red Seeds indoors on a warm kitchen windowsill or in a greenhouse.

Sow seeds approximately 0.5cm deep in pots and cover with a thin layer of compost.

Keep the compost well watered and warm. An ideal germination temperature is approximately 15–20°C.

Seedlings should begin to appear after approximately 7–15 days.

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them carefully into individual pots.

Continue growing the young plants in cooler conditions, but do not allow them to become cold. Plants that become too cold can stop growing and may struggle to recover.

Once established and conditions are suitable, grow plants in hanging baskets or containers where their cascading stems have plenty of room to develop.

Tomato Growing Tips

Grow in hanging baskets or containers to make the most of the cascading habit.

Keep young plants warm and protect them from cold temperatures.

Water regularly to maintain consistent growth.

Feed once plants begin flowering and producing fruit.

Allow the naturally branching stems to cascade over the sides of containers.

As a determinate tomato, it does not need to be trained like a traditional cordon variety.
