Globe beetroot with bright red flesh. Pick young as baby beets or leave to mature. Can be harvested earlier than some other red beet varieties, can be used for a long season but best results come from earlier and early-maincrop use. It produces smooth roots with good internal colour. Mature beets do not go fibrous and store well.
Sow the seed from March to July directly in shallow drills about 1.5cm deep with 30cm between the rows. Thin the seedling as they grow to get even spacing.
