This is one of the most popular petit pois varieties among gardeners. It produces masses of pods containing tiny incredibly sweet flavoured peas. The plant grows to a height 60cm.
Make a drill about 12-15cm wide and 4-5cm deep, sow seeds 5cm apart throughout the drill, water and then fill in. Support as seedlings appear. Regular watering is essential once the plants are in flower and pod. As well as sowing direct, they can also be sown in old guttering in the greenhouse for hardening off, and planting out to get an earlier crop. It is ideal for successional crops and germinates at 5 - 25C.
