Cow Parsley - Anthriscus Sylvestris
Cow Parsley is a common, robust, native perennial plant found around the UK. The tall umbellifer has hollow stems which often turn purple as they get older. It has white, open lacy flowers from April to June. Cow parsley can be introduced into most meadow mixtures but we would urge caution as it can dominate and once established it is difficult to remove.
Sow in late summer or autumn. Seeds may need period of chilling first to break dormancy.
