German Chamomile has many small white daisy-like flowers. The flowers have a strong, aromatic smell, and bloom in early to mid-summer. The flowers can be used to make Chamomile tea. It takes about 6 - 8 weeks from sowing to collecting the flowers.

Sow the seed in early spring or late summer. This can be direct outside or in trays in a cool frame. Grows readily from seed but soil needs disturbance each autumn to propogate year on year. It thrives on lighter soils but will grow most anywhere and is hardy at low temperatures.
