Mousetail - Myosurus Minimus
Mousetail is a small native annual, which grows to about 15cm tall. A long flower stalk is topped with a single flower. As its yellow green petals fade and drop off, the receptacle continues to elongate, giving rise to its common name of mousetail.
The seed is best sown in the autumn. Seed can remain dormant in the soil for many years. Often associated with features such as rutted tracks, gateways and hollows on ploughed land.
