Runner Bean - Summer Medley
This variety has a vibrant flower colour medley of red, white and pink, to give a spectacular display, quality beans and a long picking period all summer. Runner Bean Summer Medley is ideal for adding colour to your vegetable or flower garden, or in containers on the patio.
Sow seeds mid-April indoors for transplanting. Sow seeds late April to late June outdoors, in 7.5cm pots at 18-20C, 4cm deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which takes 7-10 days. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 7-10 days before planting out after all risk of frost, against support such as canes or netting. Hoe regularly and keep plants well-watered. Mulch during dry periods. Harvest from July to October.
