How to Grow Chives ‘Grande’
Sow seeds indoors from March to April or outdoors from April to June. Sow thinly into fine seed compost or prepared soil and cover lightly.
Keep soil moist during germination, which usually takes 14–21 days. Thin seedlings as required or transplant into final positions once large enough to handle.
Grow chives in a sunny or lightly shaded position with well-drained soil. Water regularly, especially during dry spells.
Harvest leaves regularly by snipping with scissors to encourage fresh growth. Plants will regrow quickly and can be cut several times throughout the season.
